Responsible teacher: Maria Blindkilde
For the next two English classes, we are going to scratch the surface of the United States in different ways.
Preparations for the first class are divided into two sections: The first concerns reflecting and the second research.
For the reflecting part, you must write a few words about the following questions:
– What do you know about America?
– What do you want to know more about?
For the second part, you must research a state in the US of your own choice, however, you cannot choose New York. Your findings must include the following:
– What overall information is important? Geography, population, climate, etc.
– What is the state famous for?
– What is their state motto?
– What food are most popular?
– Which sports are most popular in the state?
– What are the most important landmarks?
– Find two people from the state who have had an impact on
– Find two fun facts about the state
Write your findings in a document and bring it to class on Friday. You are going to present your state to some of your classmates, so practice saying it out loud.
